Confessin’ is a compilation album by American jazz singer Dakota Staton, released in 1974. The release compiles two of Staton's previous releases: I Want A Country Man (1973) and Madame Foo Foo (1972). Staton's esteemed backing band includes drummer Bernard Purdie (Miles Davis, Aretha Franklin, Steely Dan), flautist Eddie Daniels (James Brown, Freddie Hubbard), pianist Horace Ott (Nina Simone, Gladys Knight & The Pips), trumpeter Cecil Bridgewater (Horace Silver, Roy Ayers), and many more.
