Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes - In the Heat
"In the Heat" continued Southside Johnny's 1980s run of forward thinking, inspired albums. Following 1983's Nile Rodgers produced project "Trash it Up", the band took more of a contemporary sound on this release trying to reach out to "Adult Contemporary" radio. Southside Johnny has long been considered the Grandfather of "the New Jersey Sound." Jon Bon Jovi has acknowledged Southside Johnny as his "reason for singing."
